AIRE

Aire is a multifaceted Barcelona-based artist, producer, and DJ whose sound is shaped by his classical music training. His work spans a variety of genres, blending experimental electronic elements with traditional influences. Over the years, Aire has seen his music released on respected labels such as Glacial Industries and Toothgrinder Press.
Beyond his solo work, Aire has made a name for himself as a composer and sound designer, collaborating with leading national dance companies in Spain. He has worked with renowned choreographers including Antonio Ruz and Manuel Rodríguez, as well as with the Augsburg Ballet. His compositions have been featured in prestigious venues, including Teatros del Canal in Madrid and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona (MACBA), bringing his unique sonic vision to a wider audience.
Aire’s project Opening Scene, released via the UK-based label Toothgrinder Press, marks a significant step in his artistic evolution. Previously previewed at the Mira Festival, the album has drawn attention for its innovative approach to sound and composition, showcasing a deeper exploration of experimental soundscapes.
In this work, Aire delves into an intricate blend of trance, hardcore, and ambient music, with occasional nods to hip-hop and classical motifs. His pieces are often marked by unpredictable shifts in intensity, weaving together contrasting timbres that challenge conventional listening experiences. The result is a sonic landscape that is at once familiar and strikingly novel, inviting listeners into a world where genre boundaries blur and sound knows no limits.
